Miss Elizabeth M. Evans, a former will known Danville girl and
Frederick T. Harris, were united in marriage at Coshocton, Ohio, on
Christmas morning. The bridegroom is from Susquehanna, Pa., and is superintendent of the Ohio Electric Service company at Coshocton. He is a graduate of Bucknell University. Mrs. Harris is the daughter of Mrs. Carrie Evans, East Market street, this city and is a most estimable young lady. She is a graduate of the Joseph Price hospital training school for nurses, Philadelphia and is also a registered nurse in Pennsylvania. |
Randolph V. Harris, formerly of Waymart and Carbondale, died Wednesday
at Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Reading. |

Mrs. Elvira Harris Evans, wife of David A. Evans, died at 9:30 o’clock last evening, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David R. Harris, 507 North Hyde Park avenue, after a lingering illness. Deceased was 33 years of age, and was an estimable young woman, a devoted member of the Simpson Methodist Episcopal church, and was a resident of West Scranton every since childhood. Her death comes as a severe shock to her husband, as they were married less than a year ago. She was a sister of Mrs. A. B. Hughes, of Danville; John R. Harris, Robert and David Harris, of this city. The funeral announcement will b e made later. |
